For leaf collection, the Borough is divided into two main sections: the West Side and the East Side. Each section is then further divided by a major roadway to create an organized and efficient collection route.
West Side –
The West Side is divided by Prospect Avenue. Collection begins at the Dumont border, working toward the Teaneck border, covering the area north of Prospect Avenue.
Once that section is completed, crews reverse direction, beginning at the Teaneck border and working back toward the Dumont border to complete the remaining area.
East Side –
The East Side is divided by Washington Avenue. Collection begins at the Dumont border, working toward the Teaneck border, covering the area south of Washington Avenue.
Once that section is completed, crews reverse direction, beginning at the Teaneck border and working back toward the Dumont border to complete the remaining area.
This approach allows crews to systematically cover each section of the Borough while maintaining an organized collection schedule. Once they are done, we start all over again.
