Primary Election day will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. 

VOTING ON ELECTION DAY:

  • Vote EARLY! You can vote early in-person at Bergen County Early Voting Locations starting Tuesday, May 26th through Sunday, May 31st, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.  The nearest Early Polling Locations to Bergenfield include the Richard Rodda Center in Teaneck, Bergen Community College in Paramus, and One Bergen County Plaza in Hackensack.  For more information, please visit the following link: https://bergencountynj.gov/election-officials/bergen-county-board-of-elections/early-voting-locations/
  • Vote by MAIL! Voted ballots can be returned to the Ballot Drop Box located outside of Bergenfield Borough Hall (198 N. Washington Avenue).  The drop box is diagonally across the main entrance of Borough Hall on the sidewalk between parking lot.  Please pay careful attention to the box, to ensure the ballot is deposited in the correct box and your vote is counted.  (place photo of all three boxes with arrow pointing to ballot drop box)

FRIENDLY REMINDERS ON PRIMARY ELECTION: 

  • To vote in the Primary Election, you must be a registered member of the Republican or Democratic party and can only vote for candidates in your respective party.
  • Poll workers will ask for party affiliation to confirm the same.
  • Unaffiliated voters who are undeclared to a party, may declare a party (Republican or Democrat) at the polls on Election day.
  • If you are registered voter that is 17 years old, and will be 18 years old by the November General Election, you may in the June Primary.
