Any limousine company whose principal place of business is located in the Borough of Bergenfield and provides transportation for hire must obtain a Bergenfield Limousine Owner’s License before operating within the Borough.
To apply, applicants must submit a completed application to the Borough Clerk’s Office and provide proof of the required commercial liability insurance. Vehicles are subject to inspection and must comply with all Borough and State regulations. The application is reviewed and approved in accordance with Borough ordinance before a license is issued.
The current licensing fee is $50.00 per limousine service, plus $10.00 for each limousine covered under the required insurance policy. Drivers must also obtain a separate driver’s license issued by the Borough and meet all applicable qualification requirements.
