Anyone wishing to engage in door-to-door solicitation within the Borough of Bergenfield must first obtain a Solicitor License Permit from the Borough Clerk’s Office.
Applicants are required to complete the appropriate application, provide valid government-issued identification, and submit any additional documentation required by Borough ordinance. Applications are subject to review and approval before a permit is issued.
The cost of a Solicitor License Permit is $50.00, and the permit is valid for 30 days from the date of issuance. All licensed solicitors must carry their permit while conducting business and are required to comply with all Borough regulations, including the Borough’s No-Knock List, which prohibits solicitation at registered addresses.
